[comp.arch] MIPS endian

Hi,

Can anyone summerize who's using big-endian-mode or little-endian-mode on 
the MIPS processor? (MIPS, DEC, SONY, etc.) 
What's the future plan for this mode? Is MIPS going to support both mode 
forever, even it's architecture exceeds 64bits?
