Applications are invited for a tenured position as Associate
Professor (``Lektor'') of Computer Science in the Dept. of
Mathematics and Computer Science, Odense University, to be filled
by Sept. 1, 1991. Applicants must have a well established research
record, and have at least three years of research experience
beyond the doctoral degree. The salary is determined by seniority
according to a general government scale plus a special bonus for
recruitment in Computer Science, typically the total will amount to
the equivalent of $50.000 per year, paid over 12 months. Teaching
can be performed in English, but applicants must be willing to
learn sufficient Danish to be able to lecture also in this language
after a few years.
The department has a recently established graduate program and
grants the B.S, M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science, and
B.E. and M.E. in Computer Engineering. Facilities include a network
of about 50 SUN's and a Meiko 48-transputer multicomputer system.
