This doesn't mean that the biological mechanisms of a response to the selective pressure are different. Therefore the distinction is not relevant to a discussion of creation vs. evolution. However it is often convenient to make this distinction when discussing, e.g. the evolution of crop plants, in which there was a combination of both natural selection and artificial selection.
