I recently returned from the wilderness, where I found myself wondering once again whether my fellow mammals suffer the effects of _Giardia_ _Whateverensis_. Do wild animals go through their lives in a constant state of extreme discomfort? This would seem hard to believe. If not, where do they get their immunity? Why don't humans have it?
