With the weather being 0 to 5 below in our part of the country, I was thinking about the phase change that water goes under when it freezes. I wondered what happened to the various biochemicals in the body during the normal functioning of the body. Do some of the chemicals undergo phase changes as the body moves or does other activities? Probably they do under abnormal conditions such as frostbite, but I am curious about at other times as well.
