Does anybody know anything about a program called IDEA or maybe IDEAS? All I know about it is that it's supposed to be some sort of molecular modelling program and I've been given a "find out about this" mission. -- Roy Smith, Public Health Research Institute 455 First Avenue, New York, NY 10016 {att,philabs,cmcl2,rutgers,hombre}!phri!roy -or- roy@alanine.phri.nyu.edu "The connector is the network"

Roy, IDEAS is a set of sequence analysis programs written by Minorhu Kanehisa. They run on the VAX. I do not know the full range of functionalities available in his latest version, but I do believe that the package includes some programs which do make use of Brookhaven data. I do not think, however, that this collection has much in the way of 3-D graphics (but I might be wrong on this). -- Sincerely, Dave Kristofferson GenBank On-line Service Manager kristoff@net.bio.net
