I'm looking for information on plant nutrition, and can't quite find exactly what I want. Perhaps somebody will know, or have a pointer to the information I want. It is my understanding that plants need the following nutrients: 1) Primary. Nitrogen, Phosphorous, Potassium. 2) Secondary. Iron, Manganese. 3) Tertiary Trace elements. Standard Hoaglands. My questions are: A) What are specific effects of a surplus and deficiancy of the individual Primary nutrients? and B) Among the primary nutrients are any of them required for proper assimilation of the others ? This is for aquatic plants, but apart from not having a cuticle, they are pretty muchthe same as terrestrial plants. Thanks.
