[sci.bio] taxonomy, liverwort, hornwort

I need reference book on taxonomy - my local library has nothing! What
books are used in college bio courses? The specific problem right now
is to find a liverwort and completely identify it - down to the species
level. Same thing for a hornwort ...

While I'm at it, is there such a thing as a field guide to liverworts
and hornworts? The only book we could find with either of these in
it only devotes four pages to both. A general botany manual would be
ok if it devotes a chapter or so to these plants.
