As long as we are on the topic of "Distributed OS", it brought to mind
a discussion about a year ago. I remember someone mentioning a 680xx
based OS which had multiple 680xx processors tightly coupled. The company
was based (if I remember correctly) in Massachusetts. I think it balanced
job loads, but especially handled inter-processor communications problems.
Someone had said that it was like UNIX or OS-9, but "nicely" handled the
multiple processor aspects.
Does anyone remember the discussion or know of such a system?

"Now," said the butterfly, "look closer and tell me what you see."
"I see a tiny horse with wings upon its back" said Flutterby. "Why that's
me I see! But what am I?"
"You are you. Just as I am me!" said the wise old butterfly. "Nothing more,
nothing less."
