covert%castor.DEC@decwrl.ARPA (John Covert) (04/12/84)
In the address "covert%castor.DEC@Purdue-Merlin.ARPA" I don't see a DEC domain. The ".DEC" appears in the local part, and is therefore perfectly legit. /john

OK, OK, the ".DEC" is "legit." The address is nevertheless complicated. There are 5 parseable tokens separated by 3 different delimiters. I just hope this is the darkness before the dawn, and we don't soon see 8 tokens and 6 different delimiters in the address. -------

If its number of tokens and delimiters you're worried about, I have bad news for you. The new ARPAnet standard has domains and subdomains, etc, etc. The number of tokens is bound to increase for a while. -- Dave Cohrs @ wisconsin ...!{allegra,eagle,heurikon,ihnp4,seismo,ucbvax,uwm-evax}!uwvax!dave dave@wisc-rsch.arpa
