[net.mail.headers] SMTP "MAIL FROM:"

Mishkin@YALE.ARPA (Nathaniel Mishkin) (06/14/84)

The SU-SHASTA.ARPA SMTP mailer likes to send out SMTP MAIL commands
that look like:

    MAIL FROM:<foo@shasta>

It turns out that for obscure reasons (that probably indicate a
deficiency in my own mail system), the fact that it says "shasta"
and not "su-shasta.arpa" screws me up. But is it not reasonable to
expect that all addresses presented in the SMTP transaction are the
official names, not nicknames?

Not anymore. It now uses official names only.
