[net.mail.headers] The MODEM communications package.

david@ANL-MCS.ARPA (01/25/85)

Since the headers gave no clue on how to get back to this person....

I am trying to trace a public domain communications package for CP/M
machines and MS-DOS. The different versions of the suite are called
MODEM and MODEM7, and appear to have been written by Irvin Hoff and
Christopher Rhodes. Does anyone know of a supplier/distributer of this
for the Osborne Executive, Epsons and IBM clones.
Sorry if this is not the best list to mail.

	Tim Lee

They were actually written by Randy <something> and Ward Christiansen.
They run on CP/M machines. You can call up an RBBS somewhere and
they might have a copy. Or you can get ahold of the CP/M users group
and they have it on one of their disks. (Or there is a similar
group for IBM users). Failing all that, SIMTEL-20.ARPA keeps
archives of micro stuff. They may be able to help you.
(Keith Peterson <W8SDZ@SIMTEL-20.ARPA> is the keeper of the archives there).
