I have a question about mail headers. From what I can glean from RFC821, I find the following message is correct (assuming that there really are such domains and sub-domains, which is of course a small matter in another discussion). My question to Those Who Know is this: is the following message legal and correct according to RFC821? And if so, how must bezerklymail be hacked in order to respond correctly to this? We are running 4.2BSD. /*********************** SAMPLE MESSAGE ***********************/ From chris@nrcvax.S-CA.UUCP Tue Aug 13 12:00:58 1985 Received: by nrcvax.S-CA.UUCP (4.12/4.7) id AA06837; Tue, 13 Aug 85 12:00:54 pdt Date: Tue, 13 Aug 85 12:00:54 pdt From: chris@nrcvax.S-CA.UUCP (Chris Grevstad) Message-Id: <8508131900.AA06837@nrcvax.UUCP> To: chris@nrcvax.S-CA.UUCP Subject: TEST Status: O Body of message. --------- Chris Grevstad {sdcsvax, hplabs}!sdcrdcf!psivax!nrcvax!chris ucbvax!calma!nrcvax!chris /********************** END OF SAMPLE MESSAGE ***********************/ All replies gratefully appreciated. -- Chris Grevstad {sdcsvax, hplabs}!sdcrdcf!psivax!nrcvax!chris ucbvax!calma!nrcvax!chris ... you see, we are only a computer software programming order of monks...
