I made a slight error in my previous message in refering to ancestors and descendants of packets interchangeably. A loop occurs when a packet that is a (proper or not) descendant of a packet you have seen before arrives and is destined for the same recipients. A packet which is a proper ancestor of a packet you've seen before may or may not have looped (one of the packets in my example falls under this category). Peter -------
