I've been getting a lot of mail recently with the following "From:" line format: From: William F. Hargrove <William.F.Hargrove.weitek!cae780!decvax!mcnc!ecsvax!hargrove> These only started appearing in the last few months. Who's tacking the "William.F.Hargrove" onto the front of the address? Why? Since it merely repeats the information on the first field of the line, it seems that its only purpose is to break people's mailers. Does anyone have a reliable sendmail patch to detect and destroy these Redundant.Full.Name fields? -- Robert Plamondon UUCP: {turtlevax, cae780}!weitek!robert FidoNet: 143/12 robert plamondon "The contest goes not always to the strong, nor the race to the swift -- but that's the way to bet."
