[net.nlang] We don't need no language control..

anton (07/12/82)

This was originally a reply to utzoo!laura, since some of the words
she pronounces actually have a different meaning where I come from.
To rout (pronouced 'rowt') means to cut a channel; route is how you
get there from here; root is a login id; what word do you use for
'to put to flight' ?

"There's a lady who's sure all that glitter is gold,
and she's buying a stairway to heaven.
When she gets there she know if the stores are all
closed, she can get what she came for.

Oh, it makes me wonder.

There's a Sign on the Wall, but she has to be sure,
'Cos you know sometimes words have two meanings.
 .....

Its whispered that soon, if we all call the tune
then the piper will lead us to linguistic reform.

Oh, it makes me wonder."

(appologies to Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, among others)
