A former co-worker of mine (is Kevin Thomas out there on the net?) used to wax poetic on the evolution of titles: Mr., Mrs., and Miss are too sexist, so we create Mr. and Ms., which is still sexist, so we create M. which discriminates against non-humans, and so on: Eventually we must use the honorific "Eon" (pronounced "yon") which stands for "entity or non-entity" therefore applying equally to all things, living or non-living, past, present, or future, real or imaginary.
