I have just heard tell of a new hierarchy of goodness: the board levels. Apparently, there are levels of development which are specified by what state of board you are in. The one we all know about is the breadboard level or prototype. This morning I heard about another level, brassboard, and was told that there exist other levels as well. Could some prototypic engineer enlighten me (or us) as to what a brassboard is and what other levels exist. (Perhaps, brass board is so-called because we are sending it to the brass or perhaps, this harkens back to the Greeks and their various stages of men - brass, iron, gold, etc. although the only man of bread I ever heard of was the Pillsbury Doughboy, but then this would fit with the Military Echelon etymology, since the lowest level of soldier in WWI was the doughboy) Peter Benson ittdcd-west (619) 578-3080
