[net.nlang] terminal intelligence

Hmn.... When I had a finger poked in the pie of AI
back in England I got the distinct impression that the definition
of intelligence was geared to be just beyond whatever current AI
research could achieve.

Perhaps intelligence is terminal.
Consider Harlan Ellison's introduction to "Strange Wine":

	"Now, revealed at last !!!!!!!!!!!
What really happened to the dinosaurs, and
how you don't look to good yourself."

The key point was all those jerks watching TV.
(definition: TV (abbreviation for Televison) an advanced form of
 animated graphics.)

I'd change that to read:

definition: TV (abbreviation for Television): an archaic form of
 animated graphics
