Elsewhere on the net a tempestuous debate rages over the need for upper vs. lower case in net messages. Without getting involved in this debate, I am reminded of the following fact: there is at least one word I can think of pronounced differently if capitalized. The word "polish" vs. the word "Polish." Are there other examples??

the thing about "polish" is that if you saw "Furniture Polish" in your local Safeway, how would you pronounce it? pronounciation is a function of context, not capitalization. thekid !decvax!duke!mcnc!rlgvax!thekid
