[net.nlang] POSH: Oh No, Not Again

posh is almost certainly NOT an acronym for Port Out Starboard Home,
despite the fact that many seemingly excellent dictionaries repeat
the story as true.  This question has already been extensively debated
on the net.  For evidence, consult John Ciardi's "A Browser's Dictionary"
or "the Dictionary of Misinformation" (I forget the author).
