These are in /usr/dict/words and have 4 consecutive letters in sequence. I count wraparounds z->a. analyzable hydrolyzable overstuff understudy These are in Webster's Second Unabridged. I took out close derivatives. afterstudy analyzable cremnophobia dialyzable electrolyzable gymnopaedic gymnophiona gymnoplast hydrolyzable limnophile limnoplankton overstud overstudy overstuff plasmolyzable Semnopithecus somnopathy superstuff thamnophile understuff I didn't find any with 5. By the way, most problems of this type fall easily to grep. In this case there was no grep pattern obvious to me, so I just used fgrep 'abcd bcde ...' </usr/dict/words. Dennis Ritchie
