[net.nlang] Another interesting sign

Sign seen on the wharf in Santa Cruz, Ca.:

		NO FISHING & CRABBING

I guess that means it's okay to fish, just as long as
your a good sport about it.

One of my favorite Chicago-land winners is:

             OBEY YOUR SIGNAL ONLY

while down in Huntsville, AL they label the main
freeway thru town as:

             MEM PARKWAY

Guess they had to save some space on the sign!

Down at Boeing in Renton is a sign "No Employees Parking In Visitor
Spaces". Last time I was there, sure enough they were right...

In Summit, NJ, not so long ago I noticed the
interesting sign at a housing development:

	Custom Houses
	or will build
	to order

When I lived in Houston (not so long ago), I was rather fond of a particular
sign on I45 between the airport and my apartment. I always went past it
coming home from the airport. The sign was behind a large (used?) car lot.
The sign was about 30 feet long and as high as a building. It said:

           "OWNER HAS BRAIN DAMAGE"

I always wondered whether it hurt or helped business. This sign has been there
for ages. It made National Lampoon at least once.

Another sign I have only seen in National Lampoon is one near where my parents
live. It says:

                   -------------------------

  (highway number)

      BORING

   OREGON CITY

                   -------------------------
                              |
                              |

(if you've ever been in oregon city, you know why this is funny) .
