Well, yeah, but English is the language of several States, and is even more politically/culturally loaded than Esperanto. Incidentally, the presumed cultural bias seems not to bother the People's Republic of China, whose government propogandaXXX information office publishes a monthly called `El Popola \^Cinio' which has lots of pretty color photos of China, and amusing articles which almost all talk about how fine things have been in China since `la frakaso de la Kvarpersona Bando'. The translation is left as an exercise for the reader. Finally, there are some not-quite-European features in Esperanto, especially in its treatment of affixes and compound formation.
