'Member a while back when we were talking about words that could
be typed with one hand?  It doesn't use only your left hand, but
I just noticed that the word "dereference" really gives your
index and middle fingers a workout.

There used to be a typing test which included a little story about the
residents of Fraser Street.  It was a couple of paragraphs long, typed
only with the left hand.  Has anyone else seen it?

I don't like "dereference"--referencing is not an invertible operation.
I prefer the venerable "effective address".   Of course, programming
terminology is such a mish-mash of mixed metaphors and misnomers to
begin with...
