<No bugs here!> First an apology: Due to the time of the night my article was typed, I did not think about spelling. This is my fault and am deeply sorry if I offended anyone with my short term ignorance. (I will write berserk 100 times to remember how to spell it). Out of all the responses I received on this subject (which includes areas from the northeast and west) the word "berserk" is pronounced like "berzerk" EXCEPT from the four responses from the city of my birth, New York. Two people were from Queens, one from Manhatten, and the other from the Bronx said they pronounce it like it is spelled. This might not prove anything, but I thought it was interesting! The cutest response was using it to describe a university in California ("Berzerkeley"). I heard this once before but didn't believe it was popular. I liked it! (No Berkeley flames please, I have nothing against the place!) I'm going to run this through "spell" then go to bed after submitting it. If something is spelled wrong, I am sorry. It's late and I tried. Scott A. Barman {akgua, gatech}!ganehd!mp
