[net.nlang] word pair - wordpair antonyms

mmt@dciem.UUCP (Martin Taylor) (04/13/84)

One of our people went home today, feeling unwell. It occurred to
me that if she was home sick, she couldn't be homesick. Is there a
word for this kind of almost self-antonym? Last year we had a
discussion on this group about real self-antonyms (e.g. cleave),
but that's not what I mean this time. Are there any other neat
examples of the kind?

How about a 3-language waord-pair antonym:

The owner of that chaud van ist a chauvanist.
