In the act of male homosexual intercourse, although the two partners are of the same gender, they do not perform symmetrical actions. Words must exist that denote each of the two roles. Certainly, within the homosexual community, it is necessary to have such words so people can communicate (e.g., "You be the X and I'll be the Y"); but I suspect that slang words are used, and accordingly they differ from region to region and perhaps even from year to year. I have posted this article to request words from standard English, if they exist. I expect that the terms will be polysyllabic and contain Greek roots, but of course they need be neither. Any terms that precisely denote the roles will do. Please reply directly to me, as I doubt that the topic is of general interest. I thank you all in advance for any help you can give me.
