Lately, I have been able to control the habit (at least to a certain degree) of assuming the sex of a subject when reading text. I try to read with enough comprehension to assume, from the text, whether or not sex is even relevent in the instance given. If the author is one of those people who throws in an occasional he/she I find that a help. I do not find that clumsy. I just take it as a sign that the author didn't think the sex of the subject was important without even really thinking he or she. I think people will get used to any sane idea on this topic if given half a chance. She told me she thought I was Buysexual!?!? That's 'cause I'm so ugly, if I want it I have to buy it. She may be right (sigh) I've always had to sneak up on a glass of water to get a drink. T. R. Frye
