[net.nlang] Looking for German Language Correspondent

dwight@timeinc.UUCP (Dwight Ernest) (08/19/85)

No, unfortunately, I don't mean that Time Magazine is looking for
a correspondent from Germany. (:-) We have them.

I am, instead, seeking someone (or more than one) person who might
be interested in assisting me and my wife to learn German, through
net correspondence, on a frequency not to exceed one letter a week.
We would certainly be interested in someone who might be interested
in corresponding on a light, personal, non-emotional level, and who
might also be interested in some level of computing or publishing-
related technical discussions auf Deutsch as well. Any medium would
be alright--the net would be preferred, but Snail Mail would be ok too.

We are both beginners in the language, but we're bright with a high
level of desire/need to learn the language.

Please respond via net mail to the address below, or in the header
above, or via Snail Mail to: Dwight Ernest/Sandra Kynes, 218 Forest
Green, Staten Island, NY 10312 USA.

I don't wanna say "Pen Pal" because it sounds so damned trite and
adolescent, but actually, that's what this boils down to!

Auf Wiedersehen,
