[net.aviation] Steep banks in the pattern?

I prefer not to do steep turns are low speeds near the ground.
The high wing because it is at the outside of the radius is
moving at a higher speed then the low wing.  Particular with
gliders with long wings, I would be conerned about flipping the
wings over.

I don't understand this comment.  When the plane is in a steep
bank in a sharp turn, wouldn't the speed of the outside tip
be closer to the speed of the inside tip than when the bank
isn't so steep?   What was the result of the sharp turn/stall speed
discussion?  Isn't that the important consideration here?
