[net.aviation] Flying Saucers

I hope this topic doesn't bother you hard-core aviators, it is somewhat off
the wall. In regards to my question about the Fabled Neiman-Marcus flying
saucer. A gentleman said it hovered 3 feet off the ground? Is that all you
get for $500K? As a wheeling and dealing 12 year old, I bought a fully
manufactured (not a toy) hovercraft. It had a 40 horse Kolher motor and a
3 bladed airplane prop. It would hover 1 foot off the ground, pull a water
skier, and do as many 30 mph floating donouts as my little stomach could
handle. I would fly down our front yard (very large) as fast as I could
go, and then, put the machine into a hard turn, it start doing donouts while maintaing its foward speed, it beat the hell out of anything the carnival
could offer! Anyway, the point is, with the kind of power and pressure
this Neiman Saucer would put out, I would think the thing could fly higher
than 3 feet. Another reason I ask about this machine, I have thought (briefly)
about making a small radio controlled device similar to it, and was looking
for leads. Anyone else no anymore about this?? Maybe since I like in Austin,

for any leads. Can anyone fill in these gaps? Since I live in Austin TX.,
maybe I'll give the Dallas store a call...
