Arizona fatal aircraft accident summary -- 1/1/82 through 3/31/85

The following is excerpted from the preliminary accident descriptions
that the FAA mails to Arizona pilots.

Cause of accident is based on initial investigation, and may not reflect
the final findings of FAA and/or NTSB reports.

Glossary:
  CIT    Controlled Impact with Terrain;  commonly means "flew into the
         side of a mountain";  usually occurs in instrument conditions.
  IFR    Flight was IFR on an IFR flight plan.
  IMC    Instrument Meterological Conditions;  IFR weather was reported
         at the scene; as used here also implies "not an IFR flight".
  *      By aircraft type flags certificated planes with fixed-pitch
         props.
