Actually, anyone contemplating getting a private license and wondering
about the cost of getting the ticket should realize that flying
doesn't get a lot chieper after you've got the license. The major cost
of learning to fly is the aircraft, not the instructor. Flying IS expensive
(both in terms of money AND time AND commitment). There are a lot of us
who still think it's worth it (it's sort of like deciding whether to
breathe or not).
