Anyone out there know of a source of training and/or rides in this area?

I have served as ground crew on hot air ballons before, and have
piloted one once or twice (Once was *INSIDE* hanger one at Moffett field,
you know, the *GREAT BIG* dirigible hanger...)

Most of the hot air balloonists know each other, especially if they
are from an area within a few hundred mile radius. Best way to find
a balloonist? The ones I worked with had adds in the yellow pages,
honest!

The other way? Ask at the local airport about where balloons often
fly. Then go there on a Saturday or Sunday morning about sunrise.
If the weather is good, you should find balloons! Best of luck.
