[net.aviation] Have you heard this one

While I was listening to the radio this morning, I heard about
a near miss over Lake Michigan. The broadcasters said the
commercial airliner had to CRASH DIVE to avoid the other plane.
The broadcasters did not state the type of the other plane involved.

Now the best part was that Ralph Nader said that near misses are a
common occurance and that the FAA is not telling the truth about the
number of near misses. Now that is about all the aviation community
needs is someone like Ralph Nader trying to impose his ideas on us
(flyers in general) when he probably doesn't even know how to fly a
plane at all. Now we all know the FAA is far from perfect. But can
you imagine what trying to fly could be like if Nader has his way?
