I've really enjoyed the bits-n-pieces about the flying wing, Yeager sheds
a bit of light on both the b-35/49 and the B-36 in his new autobiography.
If you aren't in the process of finding this book (or reading it) please do
so. I'm not sure I would reccommend it before or after "The Right Stuff",
but anyone interested in aviation should read both.

Yeager doesn't repeat Tom Wolf and has some opposing views. Yeager uses a
play on words for one chapter which is called the "The Right Place",
Edwards AFB and it's predecessor, Wright AFB.

On the subject of headsets, there are two problems with the MRB-600, the
mic doesn't position in front of the average persons lips, and there is
NO noise attenuation.

I wouldn't consider anything less than the Telex D-950 ($110). Although the
David Clark 10-30 or 10-40 is heavy, by trading off during a flight with
the "other pilot" who is wearing the Telex, an eight hour flight is not
really a problem.

On the subject of the worlds ugliest airplane, just about anything the Brits
built during WWII except the Spitfire. Sorry guys but most of your stuff was
ugly! Wait a minute, the Mosquito, ah ha, theres two good looking designs.
