A few weeks ago I mentioned that I had ordered some equipment (DC 10-40
headset and Telex PT-300 switch) and they had fast service. Turns out that
the combination didn't work on any plane I tried them on. Since someone
had mentioned that the PT-300 switch had a wiring change over a previous
model, I didn't know which (the headset or the switch) was wrong until the
chief pilot at my flying school lent me HIS H10-40 and PT-200 switch.
Substitution of both proved that it was my switch that was bad, not the
headset. I called San-Val and they confirmed that the new (PT-300) switch
should indeed work fine with that headset and any airplane, so I sent the
switch back last Friday, and got a new one back today. They sent it by UPS 
air. That seems like good service to me! I won't get a chance to try this
switch for a week or so because of UNIX/Expo, but I have NO complaints
about San-Val!
