Isn't Igor Sikorsky still credited with building the first practical helicopters? Da Vinci never flew, and there are old movies of rotor equipped flying machines barely leaving the ground, but the real builder/flyer seems (I think) to be Sikorsky. There was a discussion on the net about the first operational helos some months ago. Did anyone describe the first machine? fredc
