[] Just to add a new topic of discussion.....I noticed on renewal of my umbrella liability insurance that aviation coverage was an available option. After inquiring as to the cost, it appears to be a bargain relative to other prices I've seen. For an additional $100 per year on my basic coverage I get $5,000,000 liability coverage, assuming underlying coverage of $250,000/$100,000 per seat (which is provided by the FBO on rented craft). The last time I checked, AVEMCO coverage was $75 per year for only $500,000 of coverage. This policy is available from ALLSTATE (I am not affiliated), and might bear investigation by others so concerned. I currently insure my 1975 C-172 through AVEMCO. I have 250,000 plus full
hull of 17,000. I paid $1470 last year to cover commercial flight
instruction - or PIC with 1000 hrs or more. Is anyone out there in netland
is getting a better deal. I would like to have the auto-gas option but
AVEMCO will only insure auto-gas for private and business use - not
commercial.
Thanks

P.S. To the person who carries 240 lb. of avgas in his C-150....does it have
long range tanks? Standard fuel is 26 gal (22.5 usable) that comes out to
156 lbs.
