Good VFR navigation does NOT preclude the use of nav instrumentation. It's true that the more information one is provided, the more difficult the task of interpretation, but you also tend to get a more accurate or reliable solution. Personally, I try to use everything available for navigation, plane or boat. I'd rather be busy than worried. Steve Shelley Intermetrics Inc.
