[net.aviation] Corvette of the Air?

I was looking through an old issue (October, 1956) of
Flying magazine, and found a full page add for a 4 place Taylor-
craft. The add claimed that the airplane was constructed of
fiberglas fuselage panels over a steel tube frame, with fiberglas
wing sections. It showed drawings of the airplane, and it featured
slotted wings and ailerons, conventional gear, and a 125 HP engine.
The price shown was just over $10,000.

Does anyone know if this airplane was ever produced or
flown? It seems quite revolutionary for it's time. The add
claimed that it was 'CAA certified' (Aviation Vaporware?).

Yes, Taylorcraft made a few (more than 100,less than 500 I think) of the 4
place model. There was one basket case advertized in Trade-A-Plane a few
issues ago. It was owned by someone who also had an Aeronca 15AC Sedan.
He must be an obscure aiplane collector!
