There have been a number of complaints about "external users" getting
in the way of Zoology users. On inspection, the complaints all seem to
result from the activities of one particular external user, "pchan",
with minor contributions from one or two others. We ask that people
refrain from tarring all the external users with the same brush.
Antisocial use of the system is usually the result of ignorance, not
lack of consideration for others. pchan has been warned and restrictions
have been placed on his activities. He is, in any case, within a day or
two of finishing his work. We will be more careful about accepting such
customers in the future. Also, typesetting rates may need adjusting to
reflect the inconvenience caused by huge print runs by one customer (be
the customer external or not).
