At this first meeting of the new academic year, Alex Nishri of UTCS will
present a talk on the General Properties of a CD-ROM player.  The PC-SIG CD-ROM
holding 87 diskettes worth of PC-SIG software will also be discussed.

John Bradley, also of UTCS, will discuss MicroSoft BOOKSHELF.  BOOKSHELF is a
CD-ROM application that works with your own application software to give you
instant access to several reference texts, including the Chicago Manual of
Style, Roget's Thesaurus and others.

The latest announcements and the new products from COMDEX/Fall '87 will also be
discussed.
