Just to bring everyone up to date. Sanders is shipping us a new printer by air express; we are returning the old one by surface freight at Sanders's expense. They seem very embarrassed over the whole thing. They also tell me that "our" 110-V printer wound up in England, and it seems that there were more problems there than here. This implies that some dummy may have actually plugged the thing in without checking the voltage rating, which might be rather spectacular with 220V going into a 110V printer...
