ROGUE WILL WORK NOW!!! I have gotten rogue to work now. /usr/games/newrogue gets you the new version. /usr/games/newrogue -r restores a saved game. The fixes I used still arent perfectly pretty, so The score file may disappear on Monday. report all bugs to me. rogue doesnt work very well on vc404s. The $#$%&'&%"#$%% things need 12 milisecond deay after clear screen which rogue isnt ready to deliver. Maybe we should change the /etc/termcap entry, and maybe i should do some grubby fixing in rogue when i get back on Monday. in the mean time, 404s will work in strange ways. EVERYONE MUST DEFINE 'file' in their ROGUEOPTS if they use ROGUEOPTS. file=/zoo/whoever/rogue.save will work just fine. If it is not explicitly defined, rogue bombs, another one to track down on Sunday. people using vt100s and their friends should turn the XON/XOFF off -- (it is either the second bit in the fourth group, or the fourth bit in the second group) of chaos and madness shall ensue. otherwise, i think rogue works. problems should be mailed to me. New documentation and an improved manual page will also have to wait until Monday. toad terrific.
