ooops... i was writing rogue increasing its purse size from int to long, when i accidentally creamed the roguewinners file. it seems that the new version of the winners file (using the long gold value) overwrote the old.... the new long version of rogue still does not work yet, it probably would be a good idea to not play rogue for a while. when this is fixed, the people who collected so much gold (lucky bums) that they flipped the sign bit and got negative scores will benefit.
