Due to continuing suspicion that interrupt rate has SOMETHING to do with the CP HUNG crashes, and the observation that network communications beat everything else for sustained interrupt rate, I've set up /etc/rc so that at reboot it mails uucp a list of then-current uucp locks. This may help determine if a specific link is to blame (the CSRG link is suspect because of its very high speed...).
