Wc(1) has acquired a -b option, specifying "brief" output format.
This is in fact the default (and only) format right now, but it wasn't
always this way, and the change of format is starting to appear ill-
advised. If all shell files are fixed to specify the -b option, we
can change the default back. -b should be given as a separate option,
because old wc's didn't check their options at all; making it a separate
option has a good chance of causing an old wc to complain of being unable
to find a file by that name.
