Several minor bits of tinkering got done today after backups. I pulled
the main breakers on the washing machines (aka Ampex disks), since we
aren't using them any more. Star Ring is off the system again, since
it is broken and needs repairs. The Eagle cables now run through the
44's cable slot properly, which took a bit of struggling.
Finally, on the software front, we are now running a new /unix which
has ioctls for the RM driver. This is to facilitate better error
monitoring, plus some tuning of some of the performance-related magic
numbers inside the drivers. There is now an srm(1) to match. There
is no rm(4) manual page yet, but there will be.
